Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, won a sexual harassment case against Asit Modi.
Jennifer accused Asit Modi, the producer of the show, of sexually harassing her, and she also filed an FIR for the same. The committee has ordered Asit Modi to pay Jennifer Mistry to clear the dues.
Yes, it’s correct that the order was passed by a local committee in my favor after the police completely neglected my complaint. But it’s been over 40 days since the order was passed by the committee on 15th February still he (Asit Modi) has not paid me so I am planning to move to HC.

The actress further said, “The amount the committee awarded doesn’t fairly reflect the trauma I endured over the past year.” So, I will appeal to the High Court in a few days.” She added that the media had asked her not to disclose specific details, but she would receive her dues with 10% interest and an additional Rs 5 lakh.
Jennifer stated that the local committee ordered her the due amount, which she believes she rightfully deserves. The allegations she imposed on Asit Modi were not fake. She added, “I’m glad my harassment was acknowledged, but I don’t feel I’ve received full justice yet.”
In 2023, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal filed an FIR against Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Modi, operations head Sohail Ramani, and executive producer Jatin Bajaj. She accused them of sexually harassing her and reported multiple incidents where Asit Modi allegedly flirted with her and made inappropriate sexual advances.
Jennifer also revealed in several interviews the toxicity she and her co-actors faced at the sets of TMKOC and felt exploited.
