Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is becoming grander every day. Shooting for the film began on April 2, 2024. Many prominent actors will star in the epic drama. They include Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Yash as Ravana.

The makers will announce more intriguing details about the movie on the occasion of Ram Navami on April 17, 2024. The makers expect to release the film around Diwali next year.

An exclusive report from Pinkvilla suggests that producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari have signed Oscar winners Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman to contribute to the epic trilogy.

A source told the media outlet, “Hans Zimmer is gearing up to make his debut in the Indian film industry with Ramayana. Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari have always been vocal about their global vision for this Indian epic and they are leaving no stone unturned to make that a reality.”

Hans Zimmer is also fascinated by the vision for the story of Lord Ram and has eagerly agreed to compose the score for Ramayana,” the source added.

Meanwhile, AR Rahman will team up with Zimmer, and together they aim to create magic with their talent. A source tells Pinkvilla, ‘It’s a match made in heaven. Two global talents will join forces to bring India’s story to the world.

Interestingly, this will mark Zimmer’s debut in the Indian film industry. The 66-year-old German composer is a four-time Grammy winner and has won the prestigious Academy Award twice for Best Original Score.

He is famous for his remarkable work in The Lion King, Dune, the Pirates of the Caribbean series, The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, and Interstellar. Other notable credits include Man of Steel, Dunkirk, No Time to Die, Gladiator, and The Last Samurai.
