Alia Bhatt To Host Hope Gala, Leaves For UK

The actor, producer and entrepreneur Alia Bhatt is all set to host her debut charity Hope Gala in London on Thursday, March 28. 

Photographers spotted Alia Bhatt at the Mumbai Airport as she left for the United Kingdom to host her first Hope Gala. The actress will host the charity event in partnership with the Mandarin Oriental hotel group at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London. Industrialists and philanthropists from India and London will attend the event.

The event supports the charity Salaam Bombay, chosen by Alia Bhatt. Its focus is to take Mumbai’s most unsafe children through in-school programs and post-school academies like skill building, leadership and advocacy. This will help in raising the children while boosting their confidence and self-esteem and committing them to education.

Alia Bhatt’s upcoming Projects

Alia has recently wrapped her shoot for the movie ‘Jigra’ starring Vedang Raina. The actress also shared some of the pictures on Instagram taken from the sets of the movie with her co-actor. ‘Jigra’ will mark its release in September 2024. Vasan Bala directs the movie; he is popularly known for directing Monica, My Darling, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, and Peddlers. Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt back the movie; this release will be the first-ever collaboration between Alia and Vasan on screen.

The makers announced the movie in September last year with a clip that gave a glimpse of a sister’s love for her sibling and how she shields her brother, willing to do anything to protect him.

Alia Bhatt will portray a role in the film Jee Le Zaraa, directed by Farhan Akhtar. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. The filmmakers haven’t begun shooting the film yet, but people know it to be a story of friendship, similar to Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
