Television actor Rupali Ganguly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday. The character ‘Anupamaa’ played by Rupali is a well-known name in every household.
Rupali Ganguly is popularly known for her work in films and television series. The actress is all set to begin her political journey. She formally addressed the media at the Delhi headquarters, where she was welcomed to the party.
The actress stated that she intends to follow the path shown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ideals of Home Minister Amit Shah. Rupali said,
Ek nagrik ke naate hi sahi, lekin hum sabko isme sehbhaagi hona chahiye. Aur Mahakaal aur Matarani ka aashirwaad hai ki main apne kala ke madhyam se kai saare logo se milti hoon, unse sarokaar hoti hoon. To jab main ye vikas ka mahayagya dekhti hoon to aisa lagta hai kyu na main bhi isme sehbhaagi banu.
Rupali urged people to participate actively in the elections and said that Mahakaal and Matarani have blessed her, enabling her to connect with people through her art. She stated,
When I see this Mahayagya of development, I feel that I should also take part in this.
Rupali, while addressing the media, said that she needs blessings and wants to serve people in a way that the members of the Bharatiya Janata Party feel proud of her. Also, she urged people to let her know if she was taking the wrong step and stay by her side.
Rupali started acting at a very young age and appeared in several films as well. She became famous for the portrayal of the character ‘Monisha’ in the show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Anupamaa. The actress is the daughter of film director Anil Ganguly. She studied hotel management and theatre.
