‘Crossed the line’: Bilawal Bhutto slammed Rs 2 crore bounty on his head for anti-Modi remark

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari responded to India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s remark that Osama bin Laden was hosted by Pakistan and has been a serial offender of terrorism. Osama was killed by US forces in Pakistan.

Responding to the remark, Bilawal Bhutto said that Osma Bin Laden is no longer alive but the ‘Butcher of Gujarat’ is the Prime Minister of India. He was barred from entering Pakistan until he became Prime Minister. He (PM Modi) is the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of RSS and RSS is inspired by Hitler’s SS.

The ruling party BJP condemned Zardari’s remark to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “highly shameful and derogatory.” Party workers and leaders burnt the effigies of Bilawal and raised anti-Pakistan slogans during the protest.

Uttar Pradesh BJP leader Manupal Bansal announced a reward of 2 crores to the person who beheads Zardari.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Zardari defended his remarks, saying the remark was based on “historical facts”. He continued that the term does not belong to him, the Muslims of India had invented it. If the facts are wrong then why did the BJP member put a reward of Rs 2 crore on my head?

“I think you have crossed the line when you officially announce head money for your neighboring country’s foreign minister’s assassination,” the Pakistani foreign minister added.

This was viewed as a threat by Bilawal Bhutto. India has not responded to the most recent rant by Zardari. The United States stated that it has multifaceted relationships with both countries and prefers a constructive parley over a “War of words” for the betterment of both nations.
