Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh Expecting Baby

Deepika Padukone announced her pregnancy on Thursday with an Instagram post. The post states that the actress will deliver her baby in September of this year. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married in 2018 and are now expecting their first child. Deepika is currently in her second trimester.

The poster through which the star couple announced their pregnancy consisted of children’s clothes, toys, and heart-shaped balloons as the border.

Recently, Deepika wore a glittering saree designed by Sabyasachi on the red carpet at the 77th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA). There were rumours about her pregnancy as she concealed her midriff, trying to hide her baby bump in the saree.

As soon as the actress shared her pregnancy news, Bollywood celebrities and fans flooded the comment section with heartwarming wishes.

In a statement given to Vogue Singapore in January 2024, Deepika expressed her anticipation for parenthood and stated,

Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.

She also discussed her childhood, stressing the value of maintaining groundedness in the face of wealth and fame.

“In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded, and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children.” She went on to say that everyone in her family treated her normally rather than like a superstar, and she intends to instill these principles in her kids. 

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh met on the sets of “Ram Leela,” directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The actress was last seen on the big screen with Hrithik Roshan in the film “Fighter.”
