In this article
Waiting to watch another season of the comedy television series? Dupahiya is one of them. Well, there are many questions about whether Dupahiya season 3 will be released or not, and if yes, then what is the release date and more. Read the blog to get your answers about Dupahiya season 3 release date, trailer, updates, and more.
Plot of Dupahiya Season 1
The first season of Dupahiya shows the story of the inhabitants of the fictional village of Dhadakpur in Bihar. But the peaceful reputation is shattered when a motorcycle, bought as dowry for Roshni Jha’s wedding, mysteriously goes missing. While worrying about the impact of the ride, the village’s reputation of being crime-free could be blemished, Banwari, Roshni’s father, starts his search for the bike, avoiding the involvement of the police.
The investigation brings together Amavas, Roshni’s ex-lover, her brother Bhugol, village leaders, and some suspicious villagers. However, as the wedding date approaches, the family’s struggle to pay for the wedding, local politics, and the negative expectations surrounding dowry become apparent. Roshni slowly comes to the conclusion that her fiancé and his family are more interested in the motorcycle than her. Finally, she cancels the marriage and goes on to study and work. The mystery also sheds light on a political conspiracy behind the theft.
Overview of Dupahiya Season 2
Dupahiya Season 2 follows the story after Roshni cancels her wedding and assures her future is independent and that she will pass the SSC exams. But as the exam nears, with just 7 days remaining, she finds herself faltering in her preparation and turns to a coaching-centre owner, Pratham Kumar, who operates a paper-leaking and examination-cheating racket. While Inspector Mithilesh is investigating the escalating exam scam, Roshni’s brother Bhugol and her ex-boyfriend Amavas attempt to assist her.
In the meantime, Banwari is forced to quit his job as a teacher but gets an opportunity to put up a 5G mobile tower on his barren land. The agreement could help the poor family, but villagers have protested against the deal after listening to rumours spread on social media that the tower will have a negative impact on people’s health and fertility. Pushplata joins the protest while Bhugol unknowingly becomes an online sensation by pretending to be a female influencer. The examination, tower issue, and police probe unfold concurrently, leaving Dhadakpur back in chaos.
