Sony’s State of Play Livestream is now short on major news, but there is one surprising nugget. The surprising nugget is that Returnal is getting a beefy update on March 22nd. As per the updates, it has been found that Returnal: Ascension adds co-op capabilities and a new survival mode for the game and this is going to be completely free for all of the people.
Probing further, we would love the readers to know that Returnal is a PlayStation 5 exclusive that has been developed by one of the best Housemarque. This is a roguelike shooter where players are trapped in a time loop on a hostile alien planet and there are a number of things happening over there that will be going right. Therefore, this is further going to include massive enemies and a punishing reward system. Hence, like a PS5 exclusive, Returnal is going to be making good use of the DualSense controller’s haptics and Sony’s 3D audio tech. So, be ready for it, if you are interested.
Ascension will be the 3.0 update of the Returnal whereas the 2.0 update was released back in the year 2021 October. This is the time when there was added photo mode and a suspension option that allowed all of the players for save their progress mid-run, but only under certain conditions.
