Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann And His Wife, Dr Gurpreet Kaur Blessed With Baby Girl

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his wife, Dr Gurpreet Kaur, welcomed a baby girl on Thursday. CM Mann shared the good news on X and wrote, “God has given the gift of a daughter. Both mother and the child are healthy.”

On Wednesday, Dr Gurpreet Kaur was admitted to the Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Mann arrived at the hospital on Thursday morning. Mann shared the picture of his newborn daughter on Instagram and wrote, “Blessed with a baby girl..”

Bhagwant Mann got married to Dr Gurpreet Kaur five years ago. He announced his marriage after four months of taking the oath as the chief minister of Punjab. Mann and his ex-wife, Inderpreet Kaur, have two children — a son, Dilshan (19), and a daughter, Seerat (23), who lives in Canada. He divorced Inderpreet in 2015.

Bhagwant Mann announced his wife’s pregnancy during his Republic Day speech in Ludhiana. He asked the people not to go for the sex determination tests and stated that he and his wife are expecting a baby in March.

I am also expecting a bundle of joy in my home in March. My wife is seven months pregnant. We’ve consciously chosen not to discover the gender and won’t do so in the future, either. I urge everyone to avoid such practices.

Bhagwant Mann has been the 17th Chief Minister of Punjab since 2022. He is an Indian politician, social worker, former comedian, singer, and actor. Presently, he has represented the Dhuri Assembly Constituency in the Punjab Legislative Assembly.

Mann has also been serving as the state convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab since 2019. He was a member of Lok Sabha from Sangrur Lok Sabha Constituency from 2014 to 2022.
