Plot about Sardar

Sardar is a spineless Indian cop who aims to redeem himself from the image of being the son of Chandra Bose (alias “Agent Sardar”), a former RAW operative whose reputation was tarnished decades ago when he was called a national traitor. Vijay discovers a sinister corporate-intelligence conspiracy by the defunct and corrupt water official Maharaj Rathore to capture the entire potable water supply of India when an activist dies mysteriously during an anti-privatisation protest against a water project named “One India One Pipeline”. The trial results in a “CODE RED,” and Sardar is set free from a Bangladeshi prison after 32 years of innocent exile, and he comes to know a truth that he never knew, while his estranged son helps him to prevent the launch of the dangerous pipeline.

Sardar 2 is a forthcoming Indian Tamil spy action thriller film directed by P. S. Mithran, produced by Prince Pictures and IVY Entertainment. It is a sequel to the 2022 film Sardar. Karthi and Rajisha Vijayan have returned to their roles as the main protagonists of the film, with the addition of new cast members such as S. J. Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, and Ashika Ranganath as the main antagonist of the film, Black Dagger. The sequel is now expected to be released theatrically on 10 September 2026, with a musical score composed by Sam C. S. for his hundredth project, cinematography by George C. Williams, and editing by Vijay Velukutty.
