Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) is one of the most famous comedy shows on television. Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat, who play the roles of Babita Iyer and Tipendra Jethalal Gada, aka Tapu, respectively, on the show, reportedly got engaged in a private ceremony in Vadodara.

There were dating rumours about the couple, but Munmun initially denied the rumours on social media and called them ‘cooked-up stories.’

The TMKOC co-stars exchanged rings in an intimate ceremony.

The engagement took place just a few days ago. The two exchanged rings in Vadodara (Gujarat). Munmun and Raj’s families have accepted their relationship, and they were also present at the ceremony.” It further stated, “They have been dating ever since Raj joined Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It was very evident. Everyone on the sets knew about it. Some people were certain that Munmun and Raj would get married eventually. Therefore, it is not shocking that they are engaged now.

Munmun and Raj earlier denied the rumours of them dating and gave their reactions on Instagram in the year 2021 took to his Instagram and Wrote,

To everyone who has been constantly writing about me, THINK of the repercussions that can happen in my life because of your ‘COOKED UP’ (false) stories, and that too about my life without my consent. All the creative people out there, please channelize your creativity somewhere else, it will be helpful to you. May God bless them with good sense.

Munmun also expressed her anger at the trolls who commented on her personal life. She shared a post on Instagram that stated, “13 years of entertaining people and it didn’t take 13 minutes for any of you to rip my dignity apart. So next time someone feels clinically depressed or driven to take their own life, pause and consider whether you drove them to the edge with your words. Today, I am ashamed of calling myself a daughter of India.” The couple has not officially confirmed their engagement yet.
