The outage was said to be regional and primarily limited to the United States. Despite the downtime, Indian servers were found to be operational.

NHL’s Anaheim Ducks wrote, “40 minutes to puck drop and we’re frantically trying to remember the password to our Myspace account.”
Thomas Cunningham, supervising producer for Live PD addressed the much-debated paid subscription plan by Musk and wrote, “I got logged out of Twitter on my laptop and now I can’t log back in. I’m supposed to pay for this shoddy trainwreck??”
Users are upset by the experience and share their frustration. A user reported that his screen suddenly turned black as soon as he opened Twitter. Other apps and smartphones are working fine. Another user reported that the Twitterapp is working fine but the website is showing errors, and refreshing the page is not helping.
The reason for the outage is not yet known. There is no official statement regarding this issue yet.
