PS4 and PS5 owners may now connect their PSN accounts to Discord starting today. To begin, this means you’ll be able to share your PlayStation game progress on your Discord buddies profile. And let your friends know what you’re up to – something Xbox gamers have been able to do since 2018. You may include your PSN ID on your Discord profile if you want to make it easier for people to add you as a buddy.
How can the users join the discord buddies
To get started, open the Discord app or website on your PC or mobile device, then head to the User Settings > Connections area. You’ll notice a PlayStation symbol if you can link your PSN account. The feature is progressively being sent out to everyone, starting with Discord users.

What is the goal behind joining?
We’re starting to see the fruits of Sony and Discord’s cooperation, which was announced in May. “Our goal is to bring the Discord and PlayStation experiences closer together. This is on console and mobile starting early next year,” Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan said at the time. “This will allow friends, groups, and communities to hang out, have fun, and communicate more easily. While playing games together.” SIE also invested in the messaging, audio, and video chat platform as a minority shareholder.
Discord was previously said to be in discussions with Microsoft for a purchase price of at least $10 billion. Despite reports that other possible suitors were interested, Discord is still a stand-alone corporation. Nonetheless, with so many massive gaming deals being signed this year, who knows what the future holds?
