Aditya Rawal was born on September 28, 1993 (age 31 years; as of 2025) in Bombay (presently, Mumbai), Maharashtra. He did his schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai. Soon after completing his higher secondary education, he pursued a Bachelor of Arts at Mumbai University. Subsequently, Aditya relocated from England to Mumbai where he pursued a 6-month course in Devised at the London International School of Performing Arts. Soon after pursuing his formal education, Aditya wrote a historical play, The Queen, which was produced by the Theatre for the New City in New York. Subsequently, he penned a short Chinese film, The Mailbox, which made it to the semi-finals of the NBCU Short Film Festival.

Subsequently, he has penned many screenplays for Indian and US directors. Additionally, his short films have earned accolades and have also been screened in several film festivals. He has co-written two storybooks in Child Rights.

Initially, he directed and produced a documentary film, Drama-in-Education: Taking Gandhi Out of Textbook. Later, he made his Bollywood directorial debut with the film Kishan Vs. Kanhaiya, which is a compilation of the movie OMG, Oh my God.
