Boycott Stranger Things Season 2 Trends Over Noah Schnapp

Amid the production of Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5, the concluding season, the series attracted controversy. Despite having a huge fan following, the series is facing a boycott on several social media campaigns.

Nevertheless, this happened as soon as the creators announced its upcoming instalment going on floors. Meanwhile, the supernatural series that made its debut in 2016 is one of the most popular series of the year. Among its other instalments, Stranger Things Season 4 made its premiere in 2022 and was reviewed as an action-packed thriller ranking among the top-rated series of the Year. Further, it also increased the anticipation for its fifth and concluding season.

Stranger Things Season 5 on Works

On January 8, 2024, the official Instagram page of the show shared a poster of the upcoming and concluding season of Stranger Things. Meanwhile, the poster showcased most of the main characters returning including Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gate Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, and Caleb McLaughlin among others. Soon after the announcement, fans were left awe-struck. However, a section of netizens seemed disappointed following the anticipated announcement.

Among its other characters, it was Noah Schnapp who brought the controversy towards the series. Previously, in November 2023, Noah was slammed after he was found smiling with friends who had held stickers like “Zionism is sexy” and “Hamas is ISIS.” Nevertheless, this didn’t go well with a section of Internet users and they started accusing him of online Israel-Palestine conflict and calling him as well as the makers “Zionists.”

Besides, what irked the Internet users is that despite Noah being constantly snapped for his Zionist thoughts, no action was taken against him.

While the show has gone on floors, it is yet to be decided whether Noah will continue to be a part of the Stranger Things series or not.
