SRK Wins Best Actor at Dadasaheb Phalke Awards

Actor Shah Rukh Khan received the award for Best Actor Male for Atlee’s film Jawan. Shah Rukh Khan stated that he is “genuinely very thrilled and touched” as he is being recognized by the people for his work.

In his acceptance speech, he shared that he hadn’t received the Best Actor Award in a long time, and he felt as if he “would not get it again.” Shah Rukh Khan thanked the jury for considering him eligible for the Best Actor award. He further added that he feels really happy and likes getting awards, as he is a bit greedy. SRK mentioned that Vinod Chopra, the Indian director, likes the award more than him and will share it.

He expressed gratitude towards the team of Jawan and promised to keep working hard and entertain India and the people who are living abroad. Therefore, whether it takes him to dance, to fly, to be evil, to be a bad guy, or to be a good guy, he will do it.

In January 2023, SRK made a comeback to the box office with the movie “Pathaan,” directed by Siddharth Anand. The audience loved his look in the movie and went mad over his action scenes. In the Indian film industry, the movie broke records and became the highest-grossing film.

Jawan, starring King Khan in September, came after ‘Pathaan‘, which was a blockbuster too. The movie consisted of action scenes for which the audience went crazy, and the movie made over Rs. 1000 crore at the global box office. The movie was Shah Rukh Khan’s first hit after four long years, and in between, some flops included “Zero” and “Jab Harry Met Sejal.” After “Jawan”, the actor appeared in ‘Dunki’ opposite Tapsee Pannu, which did well at the box office.
