Digangana Suryavanshi is an Indian actor, singer, and author who primarily works in Hindi and Telugu films. She came into the limelight after she played the role of Veera in the StarPlus series Ek Veer Ki Ardaas: Veera.

Early Career, Family, and Education

Digangana Suryavanshi was born on 15 October 1997 (age 27 years; as of 2025) in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Meanwhile, her father, Neeraj Suryavanshi, is a businessman, and her mother, Sarita Suryavanshi, is a homemaker. Besides, Digangana is the only child of her parents.

Soon after completing her secondary education, she pursued her higher secondary education at Mithibai College. Meanwhile, after pursuing a graduation degree, she attended the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) where she obtained an MBA degree.

Career

As a Child Artist

  • Digangana, when she was seven, made her acting debut with the TV series Kya Hadssa Kya Haqeeqat as a child actor. Meanwhile, she has played supporting roles in several TV shows like Shakuntala (2009), Krishna Arjun, and Ruk Jaana Nahin.
  • In 2012, Digangana got her breakthrough with the StarPlus soap opera Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera wherein she played the titular role. Meanwhile, Veera was just 15 when she was selected to play a lead role in the StarPlus show.
  • In 2015, Digangana made her reality show debut with the famous reality show Big Boss. Additionally, she also became the youngest member to participate in Big Boss (she was 18).

Films

  • In 2018, Digangana Suryavanshi made her film debut with two Hindi-language films, FryDay and Jalebi. Interestingly, both of her films were released on the same day, 12 October 2018.
  • In 2019, Suryavanshi worked in the Hindi-language film Rangeela Raja; wherein she played Shivranjani.
  • Meanwhile, in the same year, she made her Telugu debut with Hippi, wherein she played Amuktamalyada aka Ammu.
  • Subsequently, she has appeared in many films including Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale, Valayam, Seetimarr, and Crazy Fellow.
  • Besides, as of 2023, she is filming two Hindi films, The Battle of Bhima Koregaon and Dark Path. Additionally, she is also working on the production of a Telugu which is an untitled Sundeep Kishan film.

  • Besides films and television shows, Digangana Suryavanshi has been featured in many music videos including Rad Karne Ko, Aiso Achambho, Sharda Maihar Mein, and Maiya Singha Chad Durga.
  • In 2019, she appeared in music videos including Ve Tu and Tu Hai Toh.
