How to Make a Draft in Instagram for Posts

It is an easy process to create Instagram post drafts. Follow these steps to save Instagram drafts stress-free. 

  • Go to the Instagram app.
  • Click on the plus icon to create a new post.
  • Edit the post by adding filters, writing captions, mentioning other Instagram users, or adding a location.
  • In order to save the post as a draft, click on the back arrow.
  • Instagram will ask if you want to “save draft.” Click on it.

How to Save an Instagram Draft for a Story

  • Open the Instagram app.
  • Click on the plus icon at the top to add a story.
  • You can either click a photo or record a video. Additionally, you can also upload media from your camera roll.
  • You can edit the story by adding filters, text, stickers, etc.
  • After clicking on the back option, Instagram will prompt a message.

Find Post Drafts in Instagram

Delete Post Drafts in Instagram

  • To delete a post draft, go to the “Drafts” section of your profile by clicking the + icon at the bottom centre of your screen.
  • Click on the “manage” option and tap on the edit icon to select a draft.
  • After that, click the checkmark and hit discard. As a result, the saved post will be deleted from your Instagram account.

Delete Reel Drafts in Instagram

  • Go to the reel icon on your profile by clicking on your profile picture from the bottom left corner.
  • The real drafts page will be opened. Click on “select” and choose the reel draft that you want to delete.
  • Then, hit the discard option, and your reel draft will be deleted.

Delete Story Drafts in Instagram

  • Once you open your story drafts, click on the draft that you want to delete.
  • Hit the X option from the top left and click on “delete draft.”
