Half Bad Season 2: Renewed or cancelled by Netflix?

Netflix’s original series, The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself, followed the origin of the eponymous novel Half Bad by Sally Green, which premiered on October 28, 2022. It quickly found its way to TokTok, where a campaign began to ensure that the show would be renewed for a second season, and its songs garnered a massive audience.

Ultimately, all those efforts fell short because, in December 2022, the OTT giant Netflix announced that The Bastard Son & the Devil Himself had not been renewed for a second season. This highlights an infuriating trend that came into the public eye with a series of Netflix cancellations.

Why Was Half Bad: The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself Season 2 Cancelled?

Although Season One of The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself earned positive reviews at the box office, the series was cancelled. The popular series earned 92 percent from critics and 91 percent from audiences. Additionally, it received 7.5 ratings on IMDb. Nevertheless, a month after the release, Netflix decided not to move forward with the highly anticipated series.

The reason behind the cancellation of the series is that although it earned positive reviews at the office, it didn’t perform well enough to achieve Season Two of the series. Jay Lycurgo, disheartened by the cancellation, Tweeted,

Who Were Among The Cast of The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself?
