In an OTT ecosystem flooded with weekly web series, one show stands out—It gets under your skin with excellent storytelling, captivating characters, and exciting scenarios full of twists. Handling risqué topics with sensitivity, maintaining entertainment value, and seamlessly blending technical know-how into the narrative. That’s precisely what Rajeev Barnwal and Sudhir Mishra’s thriller-drama Jehanabad—Of Love and War achieves. There are two sides to this coin: it enlightens you and draws you into the rural world of Jehanabad, which is marred by inequality yet bursting at the seams with love even in the most vulnerable places. While Sudhir Mishra steered the show with his direction, Ritwik Bhowmik and Harshita Gaur were its lifeblood.
Two stories unfold simultaneously in a tiny hamlet in Bihar. The first one follows Harshita Gaur’s (Kasturi Mishra) character as she goes to college and falls head over heels for Ritwik Bhowmik’s (Abhimanyu Singh) character, an English literature professor, despite her mother’s disapproval. Abhimanyu, in contrast, is a modest and introspective man, and reserved demeanor whose integrity and honesty shine through in his moral compass. The relationship between Abhimanyu and Kasturi develops in the early episodes before it becomes intertwined with the other storyline.
The creators have not announced the premiere date of Jehanabad Season 2 at this time. On February 3, 2023, the first season debuted on SonyLiv, according to Wikipedia and India Today. The makers haven’t announced the upcoming season yet, but fans are waiting with excitement.
The first season had 10 episodes that showed how love and war met in the made-up town of Jehanabad. Fans expect Season 2 to have the same structure as Season 1. Even though there isn’t an episode list or story information yet.
