The whole story is wrapped up within events of 30 hours. Mathagam focuses on Padalam Sekar, who is a cruel gangster, and DCP Ashwath, who follows his own set of ideals. The first season ended with a lot of cliffhanging questions. In the series, it is revealed that there is a mole, which implies a person who shares secret information from the police force with others. After his arrest, he reveals that someone more influential than Sekar has been controlling all the events. However, the person’s name remained undisclosed throughout the conclusion of the final season. Thus, fans are wondering if there will be Mathagam season 2.
