On Tuesday, 16 January 2024, Microsoft announced that one of the premium subscriptions, Copilot Pro, is now available for Internet users at just INR 2,000/month. India is one of the first countries to receive it, with the Talk subscription offering access to both GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo.
Meanwhile, users with Office 365 Subscriptions can have a quick sign-up with Copilot Pro, to supercharge features like Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and OneNote. Nevertheless, the same feature is also available for non-Office 365 users; however, they will be lacking with Office Suite integration.
Initially, Microsoft launched Copilot Pro for $30 or INR 3,000 per month for enterprises with a minimum of 300 users. Meanwhile, with it, users had generative AI capabilities powered by OpenAI GPT on various applications and services. In a media interaction, Microsoft claimed that the new Copilot Pro subscription is powered for users and utilizes various Copilot features. Following its subscription, subscribed users can use it on Windows PC, Mac, Web, Android, and iOS devices.
Not only these, but Copilot subscriptions can lead to the latest GPT models like GPT -4 Turbo, and will also have access to image generation tools like Image Creator from Designer, powered by Ope AI’s DALL-E. In addition, users get access to select the conversation style, generate emails on Outlook, and analyze data in Excel to generate graphs.
In contrast, the basic version of Copilot remains available without requiring a paid subscription. However, according to Microsoft, the free version is comparatively slow and experiences slower response during peak usage because it is based on GPT 3.5 Mode. On the other hand, subscribers get wide access to GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo.
