Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Bhutan. He will attend various programs that aim to improve the India-Bhutan bilateral partnership.
PM on Friday took to X and shared a picture of him going to Bhutan; the caption of the post read,
On the way to Bhutan, where I will be attending various programs aimed at further cementing the India-Bhutan partnership. I look forward to talks with Majesty the King of Bhutan, His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, and Prime Minister @tsheringtobgay.

They initially scheduled the visit for March 20–21, but postponed it due to adverse weather conditions.
The Prime Minister of Bhutan shared a post on X and welcomed PM Modi to Bhutan and wrote, “Bhutan main aapka swagat h, mere bade bhai @narendramodi ji.”
On Friday, a group of young Bhutanese welcomed Narendra Modi with a garba dance in traditional Indian attire.
In Thimphu, PM Modi will inaugurate the Gyaltsuen Jetsun Pema Mother and Child Hospital, built with India’s support.

Our shared spiritual heritage and warm people-to-people ties add depth and vibrancy to our exceptional relations.”
The visit aims to discuss key bilateral and regional issues and strengthen the partnership for the people’s benefit.
“The visit is in keeping with the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between India and Bhutan, and the government’s emphasis on its ‘Neighbourhood First Policy,” the MEA said.
