Plot of Practical Magic

Practical Magic is about the orphaned sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, who have a hereditary curse on their family: any man who falls in love with an Owens woman dies untimely. Gillian is looking for love, and Sally tries to protect herself from it by casting a spell from her childhood that requires a boyfriend she can never have.

But tragedy befalls when Sally’s husband dies, and the family curse is fulfilled. Years later, trapped in an abusive relationship with Jimmy Angelov, Gillian calls for help. The sisters try to save Gillian, but accidentally murder Jimmy, botch a forbidden resurrection ritual, and bury Jimmy under their garden.

State Investigator Gary Hallett comes to investigate Jimmy’s disappearance. Sally comes to know that Gary is a duplicate of her childhood spell, and gets caught up in a romance that could cost his life.

In the meantime, Jimmy’s life was reborn in Gillian’s body. Sally brings the townswomen together to create a supportive coven, and successfully banishes Jimmy’s spirit. The exorcism breaks the cycle of curses, enabling the sisters to accept their magical nature and live within their community as well as their magic, and reuniting Sally with Gary.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time! The visuals are so beautiful and iconic, as are all the actors in it. And encapsulates a vibe like no other movie.
I’m already curious to see how Sally’s husband is explained out of the movie. Rumor says, apparently, Sandra Bullock allegedly had something to do with his not returning?
Most long-awaited sequels have been letdowns for me, but for some reason I feel like this one won’t be that.
I’m not looking forward to it because they have both gotten so much work done that they look like they’re made of wax and cannot emote properly
