Period dramas were earlier considered to be conservative and quite oppressive towards women. Breaking all such stereotypes, Netflix’s hit drama Bridgerton focused on the dreamy aura and charisma of the genre. After a hiatus of two years, the drama is all set to bring back the Regency romance. The record-breaking drama received critical acclaim for both the previous seasons and garnered appreciation for its acting and sexy storylines. To learn more about Bridgerton season 3 release date, plot, cast, trailer, and other details, keep reading.

Sneak Peek Into The Previous Season

The series is set in the early 1800s in London, where kids of marriageable age are soft-launched for marriage. As the audience got to learn in-depth about the titular family, it was hard not to fall in love with the characters. In the eight-episode second season, we got to meet the fierce nemesis of Anthony Bridgerton, named Kate Sharma. Lady Danbury, by the end, is successful in matchmaking the couple who have been reluctantly avoiding each other. However, it was not all glitter. Eloise Bridgerton and Penelope’s friendship takes an unexpected turn when the former gets to know that Penelope was the gossip columnist publishing the mess of her family. Not only this, but her relationship with Theo remained uncertain. On the other hand, Penelope’s crush on Colin also did not result in anything.

What can we expect from Bridgerton season 3?

In the previous seasons, there were almost as many twists as possible that we encountered. Either it was the fake dating trope or the enemies to lovers’ heat, which, obviously, was loved by fans.

In the third season, the story will follow another Bridgerton child, Colin Bridgerton, who is a long-time crush of Penelope. The feather-filled drama showcases Penelope being devoted to Colin, if not in love, then at least in friendship. However, Mr Bridgerton never gave her proper attention.

Meanwhile, in the last episode of the second season, Penelope hears him saying that he “would never dream of courting Penelope Featherington.”

Thus, Lady Whistledown will now embark on a mission to find herself a suitable husband.

Buckle up, as the third season is not going to be as simple as it seems. Fans are still anticipating the fierce romance between the characters.

When will Bridgerton season 3 be released?

While it would be obvious by now that nothing related to Bridgerton is simple and dull. Thus, to announce the release date of Bridgerton season 3, Netflix dropped a whole character-filled video, further igniting the anticipation of fans. The romantic but scandalous series will be released in two parts.

The first part, consisting of the first four episodes, will be available on Netflix on May 16 at 3 a.m. EDT, while the second part, with the last four episodes, will be released on June 13 at 3 a.m. EDT.

Interestingly, the fans are unable to control their excitement and wish for all the episodes to be available on the same day. A fan commented on the announcement video, “There better be more episodes if they’re splitting into two parts, we’ve waited long enough.”

Who are the cast members of Bridgerton season 3?

The answer to the question is in the title’s name itself. Members of the Bridgerton family will be returning to reprise their roles. They include Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton), Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton), Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), Florence Hunt (Hyacinth Bridgerton), Hannah Dodd (Francesca Bridgerton), Will Tilston (Gregory Bridgerton), and more.

Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington cannot be missed; after all, the show is incomplete without Lady Whistledown.
