The two founders of Tamil Nadu-based prosthetics company Symbionic asked for Rs 80 lakh in exchange for 2% equity in their company with a valuation of Rs 40 crore on the latest season of Shark Tank India. Srikanth Bolla criticized their high valuation and absence of product launch, and advised them to present their numbers before asking for investment. They were helped by Namita Thapar, who came up with an offer that incorporates both equity and debt. The founders obtained other grants later, following the pitch.
