Zeenat Aman Advises Couples To Live Together Before Marriage

Actor Zeenat Aman took to social media on Tuesday and advised couples to live together before getting married. This came after a user commented on her last post and asked for relationship advice from her. She posted a picture with her dog, Lily, who was rescued from the streets of Bombay, and called her “darling shadow.”

Zeenat shared her personal opinion and recommended that the couples live together before tying the knot. She wrote, “Here’s a personal opinion I haven’t previously shared – if you’re in a relationship, I strongly recommend that you LIVE TOGETHER before getting married!”

She further stated that the same recommendation is given to her son, as it is better to know each other and their families before deciding to get married.

This is the same advice I’ve always given my sons, both of whom have had or are in a live-in relationship. It just seems logical to me that before two people get their families and the government involved in their equation, they first put their relationship to the ultimate test.

“It’s easy to be the best version of yourself for a few hours a day. But can you share a bathroom? Weather the storm of a bad mood? Agree on what to eat for dinner every night. Keep the fire alive in the bedroom? Work through the million tiny conflicts that inevitably arise between two people nearby? In short, are you compatible?” Zeenat justifies her suggestion and advises people to question themselves to get clarity about how compatible a couple is in their relationship. 

Zeenat further wrote that she is well aware of Indian society. Living together is considered a sin, but for society, a lot of the things the generation is doing are wrong. She ended her caption by quoting, “Log kya kahenge?”
