Director Mukesh Kumar Singh’s upcoming project ‘Kannappa’ will star Akshay Kumar in the movie. The cast has expanded as Akshay Kumar is all set to debut his Telugu movie along with Indian actor and producer Vishnu Manchu.
‘Kannappa’ is a fantasy drama that is based on mythology and about a devotee of Lord Shiva. Initially, Kannada superstar Dr. Shiva Rajkumar was slated for a pivotal role; however, recent reports indicate that Akshay Kumar has taken over this part.
The film also stars Manchu Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Mukesh Rishi, Madhubala, Nayanthara and others. Prabhas will play the role of Lord Shiva in the film. 24 Frames Factory and Ava Entertainment produced the film. Stephen Devassy and Manisharma designed the music and sound for the film.
The team will shoot the film in Telugu and later dub it in other South Indian languages and Hindi. They are shooting ‘Kannappa’ in Hyderabad and New Zealand.
Entertainment industry tracker Ramesh Bala took to X and shared the information of Akshay Kumar joining the cast of ‘Kannappa.’ He wrote, “Bollywood Superstar @akshaykumar joins the cast of Prestigious Pan-India Biggie – Actor @iVishnuManchu’s Big Budget movie #Kannappa. Akshay Kumar recently appeared in ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ alongside co-star Tiger Shroff. Ali Abbas Zafar wrote and directed the film, while Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Ali Abbas Zafar produced it. Akshay’s first South Indian film was released in 1993 and was titled ‘Vishnu Vijaya.’ Akshay also starred in 2.0, which was his Tamil debut, and now the actor is all set to play in ‘Kannappa.’
