Karan Johar revealed the first look of Bad Newz on Monday, starring Triptii Dimri, Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk. The film is the sequel to the box office hit “Good Newwz,” and Anand Tiwari directs it.

Karan Johar’s “Good Newwz” was based on the concept of in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and was a blockbuster comedy. Both young and family audiences praised the film equally for its nuanced handling of a difficult subject. Karan has returned with a quirky comedy that is a spiritual continuation of the Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor film. Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk in key roles are featured in the first look posters for “Bad Newz,” which the filmmaker posted on his Instagram profile on Monday.

Karan shared a reel on his Twitter, which shows the posters from the upcoming rom-com “Bad Newz.” The reel comes with a description that reads, “From the makers of Good Newwz. A comedy inspired by true events.” As the title is revealed at the end, the voiceover says, “Ye once in a million nahi, once in a billion hai (This is not once in a million, this is once in a billion).”

The picture in the reel shows Vicky and Ammy kissing the cheeks of Triptii, and she is smiling. Karan captioned his post, Get ready for the most entertaining hungama – a hilarious once in a billion situation awaits…a comedy inspired by true events!! #BadNewz IN CINEMAS 19th July 2024!”

In the final poster, the movie’s title is revealed, hinting at the story of parents dealing with infertility. For the first time, Triptii and Vicky are teamed up in a romantic comedy. Ammy debuted in the film “83,” directed by Kabir Khan, and in the film “Bhuj: The Pride of India,” starring Ajay Devgn. This is his first collaboration with Dharma Productions on “Bad Newz.”
