Rahul Gandhi Calls Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir Ceremony “Modi Event”

A day earlier, Congress politician, Rahul Gandhi, during a press conference, addressed the upcoming “Pran Pratistha” event at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir and mentioned why Congress declined their invitation. He went on to say that Narendra Modi, his political party, BJP, and the RSS have made the 22nd January 2024, function, a political “Narendra Modi” event.

While speaking at an organized press event during “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra” Gandhi addressed the ceremony as a “political event” that centers around Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at the press event, Rahul Gandhi stated, “The BJP and RSS are giving the Ram temple consecration ceremony an election spin, which is why the Congress President decided not to attend.”

“We are open to all religions, all practices. Even the authorities of the Hindu religion, the biggest authorities of the Hindu religion have made their view public about what they think about the 22nd January function that it is political. Rahul Gandhi added, “It’s difficult for us to attend a political function centered around the Prime Minister of India and the RSS.”

At the same press event, when asked about the BJP’s claim that Congress and the Gandhi family are anti-Hindu, Rahul Gandhi responded by saying he refrained from exploiting the situation.

Someone who believes in religion keeps a personal relationship with it. He uses religion in his life. Those who keep a public relation with religion, try to take advantage of it. I do not try to take advantage of my religion, I have no interest. I try to live as per the principles of religion. I behave nicely with people, and I respect them. When someone says something to me, I don’t respond with arrogance, I listen to them. I don’t spread hatred. For me, this is the Hindu religion. I follow this.
