Diljit Dosanjh Breaks Stereotypes While Interacting With His Fans At His Concert 

Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh is making not only movies but headlines too. The singer captivated the audience with his talent at his Mumbai concert. Several Bollywood celebrities, including Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana, Tammannah Bhatia, Vijay Varma and Rajkummar Rao, attended the concert. 

A video is surfacing on the internet where Dijit is interacting with fans and responding to people who once didn’t have faith in him. Diljit said, “They said Punjabis aren’t fashionable and I said, I will show you. They said Punjabis can’t act in films, I showed them I could. They said Punjabis can’t go to Mumbai, and I proved them wrong. They said Punjabis can’t sell tickets for the bar arena, I had the stadium packed at my concert. They said Punjabis can’t do Illuminati, I said, I will do ‘Di-Luminati.” 

He highlighted that people often underestimate Punjabis in terms of fashion, acting and more, but he has proven their misconceptions wrong and established himself as a successful singer and actor. The singer usually indulges in celebrating Punjabi culture. 

Diljit took to his Instagram and shared some posts, including glimpses of his Mumbai concert. He even mentioned Kareena Kapoor in her absence while performing on stage and said, “Hoyegi Rihanna, hoyegi Beyonce saadi ta Kareena e aa.” The singer asked his fans to support our people (artists from the country).

The actor-singer was last seen in ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ opposite Parineeti Chopra; Imtiaz Ali helms the movie. It is a biopic of a popular Punjabi singer whose songs were massive hits in the 1980s. The story takes a tragic turn as the couple, Amar Singh and his wife Amarjot, played by Parineeti, are killed by unknown attackers. The movie is a big hit and is loved by the audience. ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ is streaming on Netflix.

Dijit also made an announcement in one of his posts for his upcoming concert and wrote, “DIL-LUMINATI TOUR 27th April BC STADIUM 🏟️ VANCOUVER 2 Weeks To GO.”
