A video is surfacing on the internet where Dijit is interacting with fans and responding to people who once didn’t have faith in him. Diljit said, “They said Punjabis aren’t fashionable and I said, I will show you. They said Punjabis can’t act in films, I showed them I could. They said Punjabis can’t go to Mumbai, and I proved them wrong. They said Punjabis can’t sell tickets for the bar arena, I had the stadium packed at my concert. They said Punjabis can’t do Illuminati, I said, I will do ‘Di-Luminati.”

He highlighted that people often underestimate Punjabis in terms of fashion, acting and more, but he has proven their misconceptions wrong and established himself as a successful singer and actor. The singer usually indulges in celebrating Punjabi culture.

Diljit took to his Instagram and shared some posts, including glimpses of his Mumbai concert. He even mentioned Kareena Kapoor in her absence while performing on stage and said, “Hoyegi Rihanna, hoyegi Beyonce saadi ta Kareena e aa.” The singer asked his fans to support our people (artists from the country).

Diljit has received immense love, support and appreciation from his fans and people in the industry. He works hard with dedication and determination. The actor-singer was last seen in ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ opposite Parineeti Chopra; Imtiaz Ali helms the movie. It is a biopic of a popular Punjabi singer whose songs were massive hits in the 1980s. The story takes a tragic turn as the couple, Amar Singh and his wife Amarjot, played by Parineeti, are killed by unknown attackers.
