Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated epic-drama Ramayana has finally gone on floors. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, who will portray the challenging role of Lord Ram.

The team behind the movie has tried their best to maintain secrecy regarding the production. However, some pictures from the sets of Ramayana have gone viral on the internet.

These photos show the under-construction architecture of the sets, which aims to resemble the ancient era.

These first glimpses of the set were shared by an Instagram user named Akruti Singh. It is speculated that Akruti is part of the production team. The user shared two pictures from the set on her Instagram story. The first picture shows a half-constructed set surrounded by pillars and walls. Netizens believe that the structure of the set looks like a temple.

She wrote on one of the photos, “Ramayana Day 01.” Another X post has gone viral showing the video from the set, where giant pillars can be seen.

Reportedly, the film shoot has begun with secondary artists. The lead actor, Ranbir Kapoor, is expected to join the crew in the upcoming days. Meanwhile, Nitesh Tiwari and his team commenced a puja ceremony to take blessings from everyone.

Sai Pallavi will play Sita and is expected to join the crew in July. Arun Govil, who played Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, is expected to play King Dasharath in the movie.

Other cast members include Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Yash as Ravana, Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara, Indira Krishnan as Kausalya, Ravi Dubey as Laxman, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, and more.

Further details for the movie will be announced on the occasion of Ram Navami.

The film will be made as a three-part series, and the makers plan to conclude the shoot by Diwali next year.
