There’s good news for fans of ‘Maamla Legal Hai.’ Starring Ravi Kishan in the lead role, this courtroom comedy series will return to make you laugh once again. The first season of Netflix’s Maamla Legal Hai premiered on March 1, 2024. It received positive reviews and critical acclaim for its quirky drama. Not only this, but it has also topped the charts since its release and has become the most streamed series in India for four weeks.

Amid fans’ increasing demands for a second season, Netflix has fulfilled their wishes. Today, the streamer announced on Instagram that the beloved series would return for a second instalment. Netflix shared an announcement video featuring lead actors in a witty conversation. Season 2 is expected to be funnier than the first one.

“Hasta hua lawyer sabse best dikhta hai- isiliye Patparganj ke cuties laut rahe hai!! 🥳✨❤️ (A laughing lawyer looks the best. That’s why the cuties of Patparganj are returning) Maamla Legal Hai is returning for a SECOND SEASON, coming soon, only on Netflix!,” the video was captioned.

The series is written by Saurabh Khanna and Kunal Aneja, with Sameer Saxena as the showrunner. Posham Pa Pictures produces the series.

Along with Ravi Kishan and Nidhi Bisht, Maamla Legal Hai also stars Anant V Joshi, Naila Grewal, Anjum Batra, and Vijay Rajoria.

This comedy series is set in Delhi’s fictional Patparganj district court. Each episode is a beautiful mixture of humour and eye-opening social causes.

Ravi Kishan plays VD Tyagi, a remarkable lawyer and president of the Patparganj Bar Association. Tyagi aspires to become the attorney general of India in the future.

Naila Grewal’s character, Ananya Shroff, is a Harvard graduate who aims to help the needy but is disrupted by the sad reality of courtrooms. Further, Bisht plays Sujata, a lawyer with no experience in the courtroom, and Anant V Joshi, a court manager, compares himself to Suits’ Donna Paulsen.
