Kanpur’s Vaibhav Gupta Wins Indian Idol 14, Gets Rs 25 lakhs, And A Car

Vaibhav Gupta wins Indian Idol 14, the singing reality show, at the grand finale that was held on Sunday. The singer won a trophy, Rs 25 lakh and a car. He defeated 5 other finalists, namely, Adya Mishra, Ananya Pal, Piyush Panwar, Subhadeep Das, and Anjana Padmanabhan.

After winning the trophy, Vaibhav Gupta said in an interview with Indian Express.

I want to do playback singing for Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Ranveer Singh now. I will try my best that this happens someday,

While talking about the victory, Vaibhav went on to say, “This win has made me more focused now. It has become an added responsibility, and now I want to give the fans even better.” He added, “I want to make my dream studio with the winning amount. I want this studio to create the kind of music I want. I plan to make some music videos.” He expressed his wish to make a studio of his own and to create music videos in it.

The participant’s mentors, judges Kumar Sanu, Shreya Ghoshal, and Vishal Dadlani, expressed their joy at Gupta’s achievements and wished him well in his future projects. Shreya Ghoshal, the judge of the reality show, talked about Gupta and his abilities. Vaibhav, according to her, has been all rounder since the audition.

Right from the audition, Vaibhav has shown versatility and throughout the competition, he has kept surprising us with his performance. Vaibhav’s journey on the show has been remarkable, consistent, and inspiring. I truly wish him all the very best and pray he fulfills his dreams,

The show premiered on Sony TV on October 7, 2023 and was on air for almost five months. Vaibhav Gupta took the trophy home with immense pride and happiness. Contestants Subhadeep Das Chowdhury and Piyush Panwar were declared the first and second runners up respectively. Each of them won a cheque of ₹ 5 lakh. Ananya Pal was declared the third runner up and she also received a cheque for ₹ 3 lakh.
