Rana Daggubati was born on 14 December 1984 (age 39 years; as of 2023) in Madras (Chennai), Tamil Nadu. Born in one of an influential family, Rana had a privileged childhood. After completing his early education at Chettinad Vidyasharam, he shifted to Hyderabad. Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, he attended Nalanda Vidya Bhavan High School and The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet.

Soon after completing his higher secondary education, he pursued a degree in Industrial Photography at St.Mary’s College, Hyderabad.
