Pa. Ranjith’s upcoming Indian Tamil-language historical film “Thangalaan” was set to make its theatrical debut on January 6, 2024. Nevertheless, owing to some post-production issues, the film dates have been postponed and will be released in the summer of 2024.
With its debut month being April, Thangalaan has still not received the exact dates of release. Not only this, but the film’s crew didn’t reveal the motive behind the date-shifting.
The financier of film, Studio Greens, took to social media to announce the new release dates for the Tamil-language film Thangalaan.
Meanwhile, the makers of the film, on social media platforms, announced their new poster with the caption “History awaits to be written in blood and gold #ThangalaanFromApril2024 #HappyPongal #HappyMakarSankranti.”
Soon after the film’s teaser was released in November 2023, it attracted the masses’ attention and has since generated a lot of anticipation among the audience. The titular role (played by Vikram) is a tribal warrior who sought to protect his own people. The teaser initiates with strong dialogue “As myth leads to history, greed leads to destruction, blood wars lead to liberty, rises the son of gold.” Meanwhile, the actor, Vikram, with Thangalaan, has appeared in a completely different avatar.
Thangalaan, directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja, is an upcoming Tamil-language historical film. The preview of the upcoming film indicates that the factual film is solely based on black magic and will give an exciting viewing experience.
Meanwhile, the film stars Vikram as Thangalaan, Pasupathy, Parvathy Thiruvothu as Gangammal, Malavika Mohanan as Aarathi, Daniel Caltagirone, and Harikrishnan Anbudurai among others.
